Hi, I'm Anthony.

I came to software through a side door: a bootcamp in 2018, a lot of evenings, and a stubborn need to see how things work. These days I build for the web in New York, and I still get a small thrill when something I made behaves the way I hoped.

Away from the keyboard you will find me walking the bridges, hunting for the next great slice, and cooking something ambitious on a Sunday that usually ends up needing a second round.

Good software feels like good hospitality: nobody has to think about how much work went into it.Something I say a lot

Before the code

How I got here, minus the job titles.

  1. As a kid

    Taking things apart

Radios, remotes and one unlucky family computer. I learned early that most things get more interesting once you can see inside them.

  2. Before 2018

    A winding start

A mix of jobs and half-finished plans taught me how to work with people, and showed me what I did not want to spend my days doing.

  3. 2018

    The turn

I enrolled in a web development immersive at General Assembly and spent twelve weeks rebuilding how I think. I came out wanting to make things people use.

  4. Right after

    Learning in public

Meetups, patient mentors, and a lot of coffee shops with good outlets. Everything I know about shipping started with someone willing to read my pull request.

  5. Now

    Still at it

Still here, still building, and still taking things apart to see how they work.
